Goalkeeper Training – How to Dive Properly

This is Stefano from best soccer tricks
dot com. Today, we will be showing you how to dive properly as a goalkeeper. There are
some very important technical tricks that you must know to keep sure that
ball stays tucked inside of you. I’ve shown in the previous video the goalkeeper stance, you will be mostly on your tiptoes. You’re going to keep your hands like this.
Make sure when you dive, you do use that triangle with the gloves to make sure
that ball stays tucked and no rebounds are given. So when you dive, you will dive
extending your arms. Your arms will be extended we will have the triangle, make
sure your knees stay stuck. Why? Because if there’s a defender coming from this
side, he will not be able to get to the ball because your knee is there. Secondly,
when the ball comes, you will tuck it inside the knee, making sure no one else
can get that ball off your hands. You never know whit the referees nowadays,
they could take the ball right off and it will be counted as a goal. Alright, so a quick
demonstration… It’s an exercise, so what you’re going to do, is your going to go, side, side. It’s going to practice your endurance and your diving at the same
time. So, just to show, you start triangle pattern, knee up then you tuck. Just get
up quick and then you bring it in giving no rebound. Goalkeeper showing how to dive properly. So tuck it in your knee make sure it stays tucked. Once again, make sure that you tuck it in at the end. Triangle as always
it’s going to give no rebound. Goalkeeper practicing is diving techniques. Last one. And you tuck it in. I hope you enjoyed watching. This is a very important exercise you can do easily
with your training partner and it’s very good to do before a game. It will practice
