What to do with the 4th overall pick in fantasy baseball
[MUSIC PLAYING] ANDY BEHREN: Fourth pick. Not bad at all, not bad. This is the first pick, however, where I think it’s not entirely clear which direction you want to go. In an average Yahoo league, Clayton Kershaw is the choice. And I totally get it. For the last five years, he’s led the league in earned run average. Three of the last five, he’s led in strikeouts. He is very clearly the most dominant pitcher of his generation. You want to start your draft that way. Again, totally fine. Just make sure that in rounds two, rounds three, rounds four, you’re not also drafting pitchers. Make sure that you get those power bats near the top of the draft, because when they’re gone, they’re gone. This isn’t 1999. You’re going to have to draft homers and the power stats very near the top.
